The Way You Can Reach Your Dreams and Live Your Destiny - Habakkuk 2:2-3

Many people in this world have given up on their dreams. The cares of life and the deceitfulness of riches choke them and they do not bear fruit in their Christian life. Are you someone that has dreams and visions of your future...if so have a read of this short article.

If you discover that you are a gifted writer and you would like to change the world, you first have to write enough to be competent and accomplished and then you have to wait until you are famous enough for a traditional publisher will publish you.

Today's text: Habakkuk 2:2-3 (New King James Version)

2 Then the LORD answered me and said:

" Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

There is something spiritual about writing things down that you can see in your minds eye in a vision about your future. If you have a dream and know what you would like to do in the world, it will help you a lot if you write that vision down.

I was quite skeptical about setting goals and writing your dreams down when the motivational speakers said that it was a very good idea. One of the speakers said if we want to test the power of writing a dream down and getting it, we could simply write down the names of some people that you would love to meet.

I know at that time, I wrote the name of Peter Garrett the lead vocalist in a band I grew up with and loved, Midnight oil. Another hero of mine, who also was a singer was Billy Joel. After I wrote those names down I had a bit of a laugh as I thought all of this writing down was silly.

Well, two weeks after I wrote Peter Garrets name down, I met him as he crossed a road just as I was doing. I told him that I loved his songs and that I think he was a very nice hearted person. He smiled at me and then hurried across the road.

Cutting my story short, within six months, I had met two people that were personal friends of Billy Joel and they both promised my that if I wanted to meet him in the flesh they would put me at the table. Twenty years ago I had a poor self esteem, and meeting Billy would simply be too much for me.

Do you know that you can become someone the whole world might know if your dream is big enough and you waited on the timing of the Holy Spirit to open one door after another.

Do you know if you don't quit when things get tough, and you say focused on reaching your dream, and the dream is the LORD'S destiny for you to one day walk in then it will happen 100% of the time.

One day when I was with a very well respected and anointed preacher, I told him that one day I would be able to do things greater than him. He laughed and and raised his voice so everyone could hear him and said, "So one day you think you will do certain things better than me. What do you think that would be Matthew?"

I was upset that he raised his voice and said that in front of a whole lot of people that respected me. Now these days people from all around the world read any article/teaching of mine out of 400 messages. At my best month close to 12,000 read one of my articles. And my word of faith in my future manifested.

Here are some steps to getting your dream

1. Write the dream down.
2. Research and read the books of people who have already done your dream.
3. Keep on keeping on while all the doubts come and all the years pass by.
4. Do a little part of your dream if you can so that your faith can grow. if you wanted to be a great missionary you can be signed up as an intern in Heidi Baker's ministry and walk with her and her leaders for two years doing ministry.
5. When the wait is too long still don't give up as the LORD is building perseverance, patience, and endurance into your life. Fruit that you will need when you are walking in your dream.
