The Bible is full of promises. Jam packed full of them but most of us don't know many of them. So we worry. An easy solution is to get a book of promises and read what the LORD has to say in his Word.

One promise that keeps a lot of worry from my door is written in Romans.

Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

This is a terrific promise. It means that ALL THINGS work out for our good. That's everything folks. The good and the bad, it all works out for the people of God in time.

Isn't that a wonderful promise? Can you get to the bottom of that promise? Can you get that right down into your spirit? Everything that is happening to you now, everything that is going to happen to you and everything that has happened to you can and will work out for good if you allow God time to work in your life.

If you are feeling lonely or overcome by life try this one out.

Isaiah 41:10 (New King James Version)

10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

The LORD is ever willing and ever able to strengthen you and hold you in His loving arms of grace. What is there to worry about when there exist verses like this one:

Hebrews 13:5-6 (New King James Version)

5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." 6 So we may boldly say:

" The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Notice the author says not to covet in the beginning. When you cease striving for things that are not yours the LORD is ever willing to help you cope with life's situations. He will never leave or forsake us if we walk with Him. In times of suffering it is helpful to know:

Hebrews 12:3-13 (New King James Version)

3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:

" My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives."

7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. 12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

God uses suffering to chasten us and teach us to be holy and right in our living. He trains us up in righteousness through it.

If you are suffering the LORD desires to produce fruit in you, good fruit. Ask the LORD for His comfort and the knowledge that He is there. He is ever watchful and ever present in our deepest and most difficult times. Knowing that the LORD knows about your suffering brings peace. This trouble in your life did not catch the LORD of hosts by surprise. Take comfort in knowing that and rest in His arms as you ride out the storm. Remember Jesus is still in the business of stilling a storm.

I hope this has helped you stop worrying. These verses are a bedrock for me and I thought I would share them with you.
