7 Strategies to Become a Winner

It takes a little bit of a fight in this big wild world to become a winner. There is so much competition in the world how do we come out on top? I am not sure you have to win the race to be the winner, sometimes if you beat your last time and you are getting fitter you are a winner. Here are 7 strategies I have found effective.

Lets look at 7 strategies that I have found effective

strategy 1 Read what winners say.

Solomon one of the worlds wisest men said this about giving to the poor:

Proverbs 19:17 (New King James Version) 17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And He will pay back what he has given.

Great men of wealth are often found to be great men of charity also. Considering that God promises to re-pay you every dollar that you give to the poor might change your attitude to the poor. Solomon also said:

Proverbs 22:17 (New King James Version) 17 Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, And apply your heart to my knowledge;

It makes good sense to read books of the winners and the wise. It makes good sense to go and listen to them when they visit your city.

strategy 2 Do what winners do

Winners:

A) Exercise. B) Plan ahead. C) Set goals. D) Put time into relationships. E) Invest in themselves. F) Read books. G) Apply learned knowledge. H) Eat right. I) Make wills most of the time. J) Have plan B's and C's K) Enjoy life.

If you want to be a winner you need to be doing these things also. It's not enough to live in this world, you are here to make this world a better world. You need to get to it.

strategy 3 Take one day at a time.

Life can be tough. Things can get hard to cope with. We should when we are struggling plan for the future but take one day at a time. For 14 months I have been struggling with a sickness that makes me so tired I can't get out of bed. It is a one day at a time kind of thing. Yet in this 14 months I have written 282 articles averaging 5 articles a week.

Sometimes we can't look at that whole picture, we simply have to put one foot in front of another and take one step, one day at a time.

strategy 4 Have determination.

Set your mind to what you want to achieve and don't give up till you get there. God has personally told me this sleep sickness is still going to be with me for a while and told me four months ago that He gave it to me to teach me perseverance.

My brother is in the midst of almost losing everything he has worked for ten years. Just yesterday his accountant rang to tell him he has a forty thousand dollar tax bill. He now has to sell assets to pay his debts if he hopes to recover. One thing my brother has though is determination.

He would make a wonderful staff member pushing through one of your products to be created and released. God hasn't wasted his time craving my brothers determination and stick ability.

Proverbs 14:4-5 (New King James Version)

4 Where no oxen are, the trough is clean; But much increase comes by the strength of an ox.

This verse says that you can have a clean trough or a dirty trough. But the Lord shows us here that much work can come from having an ox and a dirty trough. It's determination that will give you a kind of messy life, but much reward will come if you are determined. You have to get your hands dirty.

strategy 5 Keep looking forward, not backwards.

Life can be tough, but God promises us a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 (New King James Version)

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Many of us have hurtful past and we can get counselling for that, but we must look forward to tomorrow and who we can be and who we are becoming.

The mortal enemy of our souls wants to fill out mind with bad things past and present while God exhorts us to think about good things.

Philippians 4:8 (New King James Version)

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.

strategy 6 Forgive people

Many hurts are kept by us and bitterness and resentment held in our hearts when we do not forgive. But a new life is available to us through forgiveness. It takes time and patience to go through your life and forgive the people that have hurt of offended us.

May people suffer from diseases they would not have today if they had forgiven people in their past. Everyone knows the Lord prayer where it says forgive us our debts as we forgive those who trespass against us, they are wise words to pray each day as you forgive. It's a whole new world when you forgive.

strategy Be Inspired Spend quality time with God in prayer each day and in the reading of His Word the Bible. Other books can be read and learned from but the Bible is supreme truth and profitable to read. Psalm 84:10-11 (New King James Version)

10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

Does that inspire you to walk uprightly before God? No good thing will God withhold from your life is you do the right things before Him? Sounds like a terrific promise.
